Recent Work
Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, C. S. Starr Woodworking is dedicated to constructing beautiful and functional wood creations. Inspired by the linear designs found in the Arts and Crafts movement as well as Shaker style furniture, we create unique pieces that incorporate both design aesthetics and functionality. Our creations include fine furniture, custom cabinetry, and decorative boxes. We also take great pride in our detail work which includes carvings, inlay, and marquetry that add richness and beauty to any project.

Ensuring that our creations will stand the test of time, we also pay great attention to our joinery to guarantee durability. For desks, tables and other legged furniture we use primarily reinforced mortise and tennon joints. This joint has been around for centuries and when executed properly can be one of the strongest joints around. Our drawers are made using dovetail joints, a classic joint that ensures both strength as well as durability.
